#9 - Anything Technology

Creating a Blog post about 'Anything Technology' was simple. Recently, I had been searching for a good external hard drive. After doing a comparison on the Internet, and doing some shopping at our local retail stores, I decided on the Seagate FreeAgent 500gb drive. Not only was it a great price ($99), but it was easy to install and it has a 5-yr. warranty!

I am now in the process of creating new folders and transferring mostly photos from my laptop to the new hard drive. I just wish I would have gotten one a long time ago!

Off To College

My son, Brian, moved into his dorm at FAU on Thursday, August 21st! It's hard to believe the years went by so quickly, yet there we were with boxes and bags in tow, trying to dodge the raindrops as we made our way to Heritage Park Towers. Once there, we rode the crowded elevator to the third floor where we finally found his room which had his name on the door, along with his roommate, Marcus. While I was eager to help make his new space more "homey", Brian couldn't wait to find his friends that will also be at FAU. Among his other "priorities" were getting his laptop hooked up and getting a TV in the room. Is it a "guy" thing?

As much as I was excited for Brian to begin a new path in life, I was also sad that he wouldn't be home every night. He and his younger brother have so much fun together and really keep us laughing. I guess that will make the times when we all together, that much more special.

I'm curious to know how others feel as their children spread their wings and leave the nest...
